Project Overview
The project required a coordinated exterior architectural package combining the warmth of wood with decorative façade elements.The centerpiece was a series of U-shaped faux wood beams manufactured from polyurethane, designed to create the appearance of substantial timber framing while accommodating the specific dimensions of the building.The beams were paired with additional architectural elements made from EPS foam, allowing Royal Foam to create complementary shapes and details without requiring every component to be fabricated from the same material.The project presented three major requirements:

The Challenge
The façade required beam dimensions that did not correspond to standard faux wood products.The beams also needed to function as U-shaped elements, rather than simple flat decorative boards.At the same time, the project included additional architectural components that needed to coordinate visually with the faux wood.And there was very little room in the schedule for a long custom-development process.

The Solution
U-Shaped Faux Wood Beams
The primary faux wood elements were fabricated from polyurethane.The U-shaped configuration allowed the beams to create the visual mass and dimensional character of a traditional timber element while accommodating the project's architectural requirements.The polyurethane material also allowed detailed wood-grain character and a finished wood appearance to be incorporated into the custom components.
Custom Dimensions
The beams were not treated as standard-length products.Individual components were developed according to the actual dimensions required by the façade.This allowed Royal Foam to accommodate:
