The real cost of a fence: how to improve the situation?

Poured concrete and cinder blocks are the first materials that come to mind for fencing. Such structures look majestic and elegant, especially on paper. But on the construction site, they mean near three weeks of excavation, a reinforced continuous footing, and daily invoices from the masonry crew — and that’s before a single decorative element has even been installed. The material is heavy, logistics are slow, and structural requirements tend to inflate the budget at exactly the wrong moment.

Our stucco architectural fencing systems are built to solve that problem directly — expanded polystyrene (EPS) cores with a polyurea hard coat provide the same monolithic aesthetic of plaster without the structural overhead, large workforce, or schedule risks.

How it's built: EPS core + polyurea hard coat

Each Royal Foam stucco architectural fencing panel is manufactured using a precisely cut expanded polystyrene (EPS) core, shaped to match exact architectural profiles. This base is then faced on both sides with thin PVC sheets (about 0.125” thick) and polyurethane foam. A hard polyurea coating is applied on top — it’s a chemically bonded spray-applied shell that provides the product with impact resistance and maximum protection from moisture penetration.

The output is a panel that weighs only a fraction of a CMU block but performs like a permanent architectural element and is designed for long-term durability. It resists UV-induced cracking and peeling after seasonal temperature swings, and provides a seamless moisture-resistant barrier. 

Hurricane-rated for high-wind zones

From an engineering perspective, the fence panels’ behavior under wind loads is particularly interesting. The EPS core doesn't just reduce weight: it absorbs and distributes dynamic impact loads. Combined with the tensile strength of the polyurea shell, these panels are designed to meet stringent wind-load requirements in high-wind corridors. This property of Royal Foam stucco fences is particularly useful for projects on the Florida coast, in the Gulf South, or in any high-wind area where such resistance is a technical requirement.
